Description |
Beaded on leather and faced with at least two layers of fabric. Possibly a headdress. Larger area is beaded on flexible leather and has/had leather thongs on points for attaching. Top piece is sewn on and the beads are attached to a thicker, stiffer piece of leather which extends below beadwork for 8" behind triangle piece. There is a decorated leather thong on each side of the joining. The thongs have tan beads, painted red (it's wearing off!), seed beads on a string between thongs and a metal object on one end on each side. The seed beads are red, white, two shades of blues and green. There is a piece of tape with "Mrs. LaPorte" on it. |
