Title Beaded vestment with blue fringe

Object Name Beaded Vestment
Description Large, beaded piece meant to be hung around the neck. The ends are attached to another piece which hangs down the front. Neckpiece is covered in bead work. The design is different one side to the other. Neckpiece is 43.5" long and 6" wide. Where it goes around the neck shows wear. The bead work has been repaired at the back neck seam. The whole thing is lined with black cotton. Neckpiece has narrow khaki binding. Where the ends of the neckpice are joined is a black velvet area 7" high x 14.5" wide with a simple beaded motif on the velvet. Below that is a heavily beaded larger rectangle. The lower area is 14" high. Across the bottom is a fringe of plastic bead loops with aqua, synthetic yarn tassels. Inside the pocket is the word "Peabody"
